You may cancel your reservation up to 60 days prior to your arrival and receive a refund of your deposit, minus the nonrefundable reservation fee. Please note: If your booking was made through a third-party platform (e.g., Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com), additional fees may apply that are not covered by Sanibel Captiva Island Vacations.
The final balance is due 60 days before your arrival. Cancellations made after this 60-day mark are ineligible for a refund.
Currently, Sanibel Captiva Island Vacations does not offer travel insurance. We strongly encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance through their credit card provider or an independent agency.
Per the City of Sanibel, all Sanibel homes require a minimum stay of 28 days. Sanibel condos, Captiva homes and Captiva condos may permit stays of 3 to 7 nights, depending on their HOA or zoning regulations.
Some of our homes allow up to two dogs, subject to owner approval and an additional pet fee. Currently, none of our condos permit pets, as per their HOA rules.
The Damage Protection Fee is a nonrefundable charge covering up to $3,000 in accidental damage, provided by Rental Guardian. This fee gives you peace of mind during your stay, knowing that accidents are covered.
Check-in for homes begins at 4:00 PM, while check-in for condos begins at 3:00 PM. Check-out for all properties is at 10:00 AM.
Most of our properties are equipped with keyless entry, so you do not need to visit our office for keys at check-in or drop them off at check-out. If your property requires a physical key, you will receive separate emails with specific check-in and check-out instructions.
All deposits must be made using a debit or credit card. Final payments may be made by debit/credit card or ACH electronic check. We do not accept personal checks, PayPal, Venmo or similar payment methods. If you choose to pay your final balance via ACH, the debit/credit card processing fee will be waived.
We provide a starter kit to help you settle in, which includes a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, a roll of paper towels, a sponge, a small bottle of dish soap, a laundry detergent tab, a dishwashing tab, bath towels, hand towels, and starter shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Guests should plan to purchase additional supplies as needed during their stay, including but not limited to toiletries, condiments, zip lock bags, aluminum foil, garbage bags, coffee filters/K-cups, beach towels, etc. If you require additional items, we can provide them for a fee.
