This tropical estate home offers the main home, guest cottage and carriage guest suite accommodating up to 12 guests in total. HOME FEATURES
Roosevelt Cottage features an open floor plan for extended family and friends with a spacious living area opening into the chef’s gourmet kitchen with a four-burner gas range, upscale appliances and a casual breakfast area.
The northern wing on the main living level features a master bedroom suite with a king bed, TV and ensuite bathroom with a claw foot tub, shower and walk-in closet. This wing also offers a spacious den office area with a TV and half-bath, which is convenient to the master suite as well as the main living area. The main level also features a formal dining room and an additional den with a TV off of the kitchen area, plus a large laundry room providing two sets of stack washers/dryers for your convenience.
The property features an expansive screened lanai overlooking the dock and Roosevelt Channel. The upper level of the main home offers a spacious loft area with a comfortable queen sleeper sofa, wet bar and a flat panel TV. There is a guest bedroom on each side of the loft, both with queen beds and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The floor plan is expansive and offers privacy and comfort.
Just outside the main home is the charming guest cottage, which was the original fishing cottage at this tropical oasis. The guest cottage offers a quaint living area with TV, Wi-Fi, a small kitchen with a mini refrigerator, stove, microwave and dining area. The guest cottage also has a comfortable sleeping area with a king-size bed, a full bathroom and a utility room with a washer and dryer.
For additional family and friends, there is an additional carriage house guest suite which sleeps 2 with a king bed, full bathroom and spacious seating area equipped with a flat-screen TV. A morning kitchen in this suite is convenient for guests so they don’t need to venture into the main home for an early morning coffee or late night snack. This suite is located above the carriage garage and is just steps from the main home. Roosevelt Cottage has plenty of space with nearly 5,000 sq ft combined in its three separate structures. The carriage suite also provides a queen blow-up bed for additional sleeping arrangements. The inflatable bed can also be moved to the main home’s private den or sunroom.
Our favorite feature of this home is the private heated pool hidden among the lush vegetation with its soothing waterfall feature. In addition to the pool, Roosevelt Cottage also offers a large private boat dock and fishing pier that will accommodate your boat or rental up to 30 feet. Private charters are available for fishing, shelling, eco-tours and sunsets. When you walk down the driveway to head to the private beach, enjoy the convenience of a beach wagon, beach chairs, beach towels and umbrella for your island escape! A Pack ‘n Play, booster chair and a highchair are also available.
